Did You Thank God Today?

Did you? This is just a gentle reminder. I hope that everyone who visits my blog takes a moment to reflect on the importance of thanking the Lord. The Bible tells us,

"In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Honestly, I can’t take credit for this reminder—it’s something I borrowed from my neighbor. Almost every day, as I walk past his house a few blocks away from mine, I see the phrase “Did You Thank God Today?” boldly displayed on the back of his white car. Whether it's parked in his garage or on the street, that simple message never fails to catch my attention.

It’s amazing how such a small phrase can have such a big impact. Each time I see it, I pause for a moment and reflect. Have I thanked God today? Have I acknowledged His blessings, big or small? More often than not, that simple sign reminds me of things I might have overlooked—the breath in my lungs, the food on my table, the friends who check in, and even the challenges that help me grow.

I don’t know my neighbor personally. I don’t even know his name. But through that one sentence on his car, he reminds me—maybe even countless others—to be grateful. I wonder how many people have seen his car on the streets and had the same realization. Gratitude has a way of multiplying, spreading from one person to another, often in unexpected ways.

I don’t have a car. But I do have this blog.

And maybe, just maybe, this blog will be my way of passing along the same reminder. If you’re reading this, take a moment. Pause. Reflect.

Did you thank God today?
