What If God Answers All Prayers?

I read in the internet a few days ago (i just forgot the site) about God answering prayers. I read that 0.1% rate of answered prayers is already very high and the remaining 99.9% unanswered prayers Christians claims were God's will.

Given the statistics is true. What if God answered all your prayers? Were there times when you tried to look back and remember what your prayers were? Have you thought what would have happened if those were answered?

Some of your prayers were answered on time. If you keep track of your prayers, some were answered at a later time (we thought it was a delayed answer) and many were not answered (if we do not consider NO as an answer).

We only see a portion of what is happening around us. God sees everything. When we pray we based it on what we think is right at the moment. Maybe when prayers were answered at a later time, it is because we were given time to reassess our prayers. Or maybe, it's not yet time.
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:

A time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

A time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

A time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

A time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

A time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

A time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
[Ecclesiastes 3:1-8]
What if God answers all our prayers? Think of what other people are praying? Think of what you had prayed, what if they were all answered?

Going back to that statistics, how many of us Christians were counting God's blessings? We easily forget, we only remember God when we need something. Do you really believe that out of 1,000 prayers only one were answered?

  1. very inspiring! in times of troubles/crisis we tend to complain, but when blessing is at our hand, we even ask for more - again, complaining...

if god answer my prayer at this very moment, i am at your side (sa Davao) drinking coffee with you.

  5. I am glad that GOD does not answer all of my prayers, or my life would not be where it is now. I have faith that GOD has my back, no matter what. I believe that sometimes our prayers are not answered for a lack of faith, and other times, it is HIM saying no or wait. HE is the only one who knows what we need, when we need it. We just need to be still and know HE is GOD.

    On another note...
You visited my blog at My Christian Diary, and posted a comment saying that the video was not there. Good news...It is back! I hope you will return and give a look! GOD Bless You!

    In service for CHRIST,
    Donna

  6. I believe God hears every word that we utter including those words in our hearts that don't make it through our lips.

That being said, I don't keep that close track to my prayers to know the percentage answered, but I do know that God hears me.

Sometimes he'll answer my prayer, but not in the manner I expect. This could mean that instead of getting the desired favor from one customer as prayed, He provides my needs in another way.

All that God gives to us is good and thankfulness is an important part of our ongoing conversation with Him.

  7. I am reminded of the movie "Bruce Almighty" where Jim Carrey as Bruce took the role of God for a brief period of time... and he can do anything then, because he was God.

and he got confused because he can hear all the prayers going around the world... and what did he do? he said "Yes to all"

    and the result was chaos...

but in real life, we all know that God really answers all prayers... we just have to accept that 'No' is also an answer ;)

  10. nag comment ako dito last night pero di pala nakapasok, nag crash kasi itong gamit kong firefox.

1 out of 1k? I don't think so. God answers all our prayers. Yes, No, Later. It may not be the exact answer to what we have prayed for, but that's what God wants. We may not understand it but we have to trust His will.

Naisip ko rin yung kay Bruce Almighty where He said yes to all the prayers.
